Yeah the last few days I've spent more time sleeping and ogling (is that a word? Im sure it is..) over Simon from Misfits, which is probably my favourite show at the moment, as I have spend the last few days watching every single episode - sad I know!
Corrr I would (;
So sadly the posts have been infrequent, so instead of doing maybe one and not having time to do the rest and then getting even more behind, I'm going to do the last two days of christmas I have missed in with today's instalment to avoid missing even more, and to be properly up to date.
So for the sixth day of christmas my true love sent to me..
Some Batiste dry shampoo! I know it sounds odd for a gift recommendation, but these products are amazing. Whilst at my friends (which I mentioned before) I didn't wash my hair, but instead tried this out; and it worked wonders! I didn't wash my hair for four days, (my hair doesn't get particularly greasy anyway, and if I wash it much more often than every three days it gets too dry! So I'm not being filthy, I only missed one day :P) And it didn't look like it even needed washing, so would definately recommend this range of products!
I was also surprised at how cheap they are, as in my opinion they are the best dry shampoo out there, and probably the cheapest. All the range; except the brunette which for some reason I am unaware of is £2.99, are priced at £2.09. Bargain or what!
My personal favourite is the tropical one, but they are all amazing! And on my lid it actually says No.1 Dry Shampoo in the UK, which I am not surprised about.
So for a christmas present, or even something to take away with you over christmas if you go on holiday or visit family, this is perfect. And if you did want to make a present out of it, you could easily buy a few from the range and put in a nice bag with some tissue paper and glitter and ribbon round them to give the person a choice of a few different types, in a lovely wrapped gift!
For the seventh day of christmas my true love sent to me..
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, and a M.A.C 210 Precise Eye Liner Brush.
Again, these are products I have purchased and after using have found to be wowwww!
I never usually wear eyeliner as pencil doesn't give a smooth enough finish for my taste and the line is too thick, but I am absolutely rubbish at using liquid eyeliner. I find it really hard to use and if you make a mistake, your whole makeup is ruined, for the eye at least as it will be one of the last things you put on.
So for that reason I never really wore eyeliner, but after being recommended gel eyeliner, thought there would be no harm in trying it, and have been pleasantly surprised.
It is SO much easier to use than liquid eyeliner, but still gives off a lovely smooth finish and you can get a really nice thin sharp line if you use the right brush; which then brings me onto the M.A.C 210, which is amazing for using gel eyeliner. Ever since buying the gel liner, it has become my holy grail makeup item, and I have been wearing eyeliner every day since! It has completely solved my eyeliner issue and it is an amazing product. I purchased the shade Black Ink 1, and would give it 5/5 stars!
Again, it is a product which would be a lovely gift for any makeup lover, or a nice little treat for yourself with a little dosh after the big day, and maybe have some nice eyeliner in time for a new years party ;).
The eyeliner is priced at £15, which I think it is worth every penny for!
The 210 brush is priced at £13.50, again worth every penny, as M.A.C brushes are sooo good quality and last literally forever (the reason I bought it instead of the Bobbi Brown eyeliner brush; that and I wanted it to match the rest of my brushes.)
This is the product on! I think it gives a gorgeous line to the eyes and am in love with it (as you might be able to tell!)
I am also wearing my newest favourite nail varnish, which I purchased yesterday and is the Barry M Nail Paint in the shade 304 Pink Flamingo. I could go on for ages about how much I love Barry M nail varnishes and how surprised I am at how cheap they are, £2.99!
And now for the final day for today.
On the seventh day of christmas my true love sent to me..
The Misfits complete Season 1 DVD!
I thought seeing as it was the reason for me being lazy, it was rather apt that it should be my recommendation of the day (as my laziness has proved how addictive this show is..) As I have literally watched it ALL day long!
I
would recommend the Box set with both seasons on it, BUT that one isn't out until the 27th this month and is only available for pre-order, and as I'm sure you have figured out, would not reach the recipient in time for christmas, so seeing as this is for a christmas present recommendation I can only recommend season 1, or a HMV voucher for the person to buy the box set with when they go shopping after christmas. Now I don't know about you guys, but I do prefer opening presents at christmas, so would maybe recommend just the first season instead of a voucher, especially seeing as it's priced at £8.49 even with £11.50 off. Which also makes this a great present idea as thats a huuuge amount of money off, so a great saving!
So yes, with 5 stars from me, this dvd is amazing and a great gift idea for anyone who likes Misfits, or who you think would like Misfits! So not just girls, this could be for guys, parents, cousins, friends, anyone :D.
And with that, I am finished for today! Sorry at the length of the post because of doing 3 in 1, but I knew I would be tempted only to do one or two if I did them separately and wanted to fully catch up, so thankyou for reading and I hope you enjoyed this! I hope your doing well and take care guys.
